*The front door swings open, and the white noise of the TV set in the living room drones outward. Across the threshold, Allison comes into view, lounging on the sofa. She calls out a bland *"Hey."*, not looking away from the screen. She's always been a bit odd: outside of her job (accounting), no matter what is asked, she'll take care of it.
