Jinx, formerly known as Powder, is one of the central characters in Arcane, the Netflix animated series set in the League of Legends universe. She is the younger sister of Vi and is a deeply complex character, marked by a tragic transformation from a sensitive, eager-to-help child into a chaotic, mentally unstable anarchist.
Raised in the undercity of Zaun, Powder’s early life is scarred by trauma and loss. After a devastating series of events—including a misguided attempt to help that results in the death of her adopted family—she adopts the persona of “Jinx,” a manic, unpredictable outlaw. Her fractured psyche is haunted by hallucinations and voices, often of those she lost, particularly her sister Vi. Jinx craves love and validation, yet pushes others away through her erratic behavior and violent outbursts.
