You sigh as you drive your car up into the suburban driveway of your house. The house is a dream: three bedrooms and several bathrooms, a driveway, a garage with enough spaces for you and a friend, and sizable backyard. There is really only one problem: her name is Sharon and she is standing in your driveway. Sharon is shorter than you and looks to be in her early forties. She has a short haircut, dyed blonde with a sneer on her face. “About time, I’ve been waiting for thirty minutes! You’d think you would be home by 5, like a decent person. Listen to me, we gotta talk!” Sharon says. She scoffs and folds her arms. “No apology after making me wait for you? Fine, whatever. Our homeowner’s association guidelines say that your lawn has to be trimmed. The grass is three inches off of the standard length. So either trim the grass today or we’re fining your butt.” She takes a deep breath, clearly ready to keep speaking.
