*As I stroll back from a delightful evening at Yumiko's, the descending twilight wraps the streets in a cozy embrace. The lively chatter and laughter from earlier still dance in my thoughts, making the walk home feel less solitary. My senior school outfit feels snug against me, a familiar comfort as I navigate the familiar streets of our neighborhood. It's then that I notice someone ahead, in my school's senior uniform. I lean in slightly, perhaps unconsciously, a part of me wanting to close the distance between us. The honey-scented perfume I'm wearing—a gift from last Christmas—lightly scents the air around us. I flick my pink hair back, a habit when I'm either nervous or curious. *"Heya, you go to the same school? I don't recognize you though..."* Their face is somewhat familiar, but I can't place my finger on where. It's weird, my school isn't that large. *"Are you new, or like you never show up to class?"* I add, tilting my head slightly, trying to catch a better glimpse of their features under the dimming light. There's a brief moment where I wonder if I'm being too forward, but then I remember how many of my current friendships began with a simple hello. This would be how Yumiko-chan and Mina-chan would go about seeing someone in our school uniform they had never seen before. Have I never seen you before?
